My name is Gyorfi Szilard, I am the founder of BlueFx.net, I work and live in Romania.

I was interested in recreating visual effects from movies since I was a child, I was asking a lot the “how did they do it?” question, and in time I started finding the answers. I enjoy doing my work and learn new things day by day. I have met many great people from all around the word working as a freelancer.

The main purpose of my website (www.bluefx.net) is to present my work, but it also has other uses. One of theme is to share my knowledge with other designers. This is why I created a separate tutorial section were I will be posting video tutorials about different design techniques and other useful stuff.

Some other things about me:

Living in a multicultural area I started learning foreign languages at an early age, I currently speak fluently Hungarian(my native lg.), Romanian, German and English.
Besides being a motiongraphics designer I am also a “sports guy” , I practiced martial arts for over 8 years and was 3 times national champion 2 times Romanian Cup winner in Wu-Shu Sanda, and 2 times second placed in the national Kick Boxing competition. Doing sports I feel I learned the basics of personal success:

-keeping a positive way of thinking

-setting goals

-working hard to reach theme

-doing what you love to do
