very cool stuff man. Thanks
Hi Man,
Thanks for the nice template and the wonderful tutorial to customize it.
Just had a question…Are you using a desktop or a laptop, and, What is the configuration of your system?
Many Thanks,
Francis Fernandes
Hey Francis
Your welcome, thank you too.
I use a Desktop PC, Win 7 at 64 bits. 8 gig RAM , Quad core q660 2,4 gig , Nvidea Geforce 9800GT, 3 internal HDD 650mb each, 2 of theme in raid, I use a 620W Corsair, power supply and a HP UPS to keep the power constant and safe. . 2 external HDD (one 1T the other 2T) for backups. I also use 2×22″ screens, for faster workflow,
I plan to keep this configuration for this year, than upgrade to an i7 with as much RAM support as possible. The more cores and ram you have the faster AE will work, a fast hard drive is also recommended.
What are your recommendations on AE Memory & Multiprocessing settings? Can AE use more than 4GB or it’s limited to 4Gb no matter you add more Ram?
Dear Victor
I have 8 gigs of ram, AE can use more than 4 gig if your operating system can support it. You need to have Windows 64 bits (XP, Vista or 7)
The standard 32 bits OS can only see 4 gigs of ram.
I agree with earlier post. Its a true blessing that I stumbled across such a resourceful website as this. I also do FREE web design right now for non profit organizations until I have built up my skill level. I love find other free resources.
?: How do I find more fonts that are supported by AE. I don’t have a Fonts folder with my download. I believe it wAS a portable file someone gave me off youtube. CS3 version & Im running Vista 32bit. When I initially installed it I had to uninstall most of the other fonts installed there because it was causing the error message and wouldnt allow AE to open at all. Any good places to get good quality fonts that wont error on me in AECS3?
Hi AWD, Thank you
I`m not sure why some fonts were causing errors, I did use Vista and CS3 but fonts did not give me problems.
